Welcome to our family "Where pets rule".

We have 3 Labs, 2 Shepherds and have recently acquired an elderly Doberman whose owner had to give her up.

Ken Silva is a retired NYPD Detective from the Bomb Squad. He was the Kennelmaster who oversaw the training and handling of EDC's (explosive detection canines). His passion for dogs led him to a fulfilling life as Kennel owner and operator.

Ken is also affiliated with "Puppies Behind Bars"(PBB). This non-profit organization has inmates raise puppies until they can come back to Silva Lining Kennels to be formally trained as EDC's. After training at our facility they graduate to Michael Stapleton Associates (MSA). This company specializes in explosion detection work.

Myrna Silva is a licensed massage therapist with over 20 years of experience.(www.personalcarebymyrna.com) She brings her compassion and loving care to Silva Lining Kennels. Have a massage before you leave for vacation or take home your pet.

We have three daughters all of whom equally share our devotion to animals. Stephanie 13, Brooke 9, and Rebecca 8 only know of a life filled with dogs. Stephanie is involved with "special play" and "power walks" while Brooke and Rebecca will sit with your pet and give him/her that extra TLC time while they're away from you.
